Ninety-two-year-old Tish Lidstone of West Cape, P.E.I.,  has lived to see many things: world wars, times of feasts, and times of famine— but on January 28th, 2017, she saw an especially rare occurrence: her great-great-great grandchild.

“It’s one of them things you thank God every day that you’re alive and that you can live to see,” Lidstone told CBC’s Island Morning.

Six generations are now living on the island, and the family all live within about 15 minutes of each other in the western portion of P.E.I.

In the U.K., there is believed to be just one six-generation family, but there may be more in Canada as an Alberta family reported another 6-generation family late last fall.
